Volunteer

Would you like to get involved but don’t know how?  Let us show you how easy it can be.   Volunteers are critical to the Head Start program.   This means that each individual who volunteers at Head Start helps to contribute to the strengthening of the over 2,400 children we serve yearly. Each year, Head Start successfully places approximately 4,000 volunteers who read to children, play educational games, assist the teaching staff with classroom activities and field trips, and help with construction projects.

The help you supply is vital. It is real, tangible, and relied upon to meet federal guidelines.  Volunteers include individuals, businesses, students, and agencies who volunteer for the children and families in our program.

Are you looking for a site to bring your corporate, school, or civic group for community service? Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Do you have talents you want to put to good use? We can schedule large or small group or individual volunteer experiences 6 days a week.

Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator to set up an orientation and get you started right away.
